Frequently Asked Questions about Online Registration with the YMCA of Arlington
 |
Troubleshooting |
 |
|
| 1. |
I have found the program that I want to register for online, but when I try to create my user name and password,
I keep getting an error message.
The information you are required to supply for online registration is your email address and password or your Last
Name, birth date, and zip code. These must match what we currently have in your membership. If your information has
changed, you will need to contact your local YMCA branch to update your information before you will be able to use
online registration. If you are not a member of the YMCA of Arlington, contact your local branch on you how you can
become a member!
|
| 2. |
I can log into online registration, but when my family member names appear on the screen, the person I want to
register does not appear.
For anyone to register for a program through online registration, they must be a either a full or program member of the
YMCA of Arlington. That includes any of your family members. If the person you wish to register is not present on your
membership account, they will not be present on your family member listing during online registration. Please contact
your local YMCA to update your information, then you will be able to register this person through online registration.
|
| 3. |
I cannot locate the program I want to register for.
Not all programs are currently available for online registration. Beginning April 24th, Summer Baseball will be the first
program available for online registration; additional programs will be added throughout the year. Please contact your
local YMCA if you wish to register in person.
Also, programs are only available for registration during a specific time period. If you cannot find the program you are
looking for, it may not be available for registration yet, or the deadline for registration may have already passed.
Please remember, online registration is new for our YMCA as well. Please be patient with our staff as we learn our new
system as it will allow us greater opportunities to provide more efficient service you expect and deserve.

| 4. |
I was in the process of purchasing my classes through online registration and I lost my internet connection, the
page timed out or my receipt never appeared. Did I get charged? Am I on the roster?
When errors like this occur, predicting exactly what happened is difficult. Contact your local YMCA branch, and they can
access your account and let you know if you are registered for the program.
|
| 5. |
I signed up for a class and then discovered it was the wrong branch! What did I do wrong?
Each member in our association is assigned a “home” branch. Our online registration system identifies you with your
home branch automatically. When you sign on for online registration, you must be sure to change the branch if you
want to attend programs at a branch other than your home branch. When you register, you will see a drop down menu
to choose a branch.
|
| 6. |
I registered online but when I got to the branch, they had no record of my registration. What happened?
When you register online, even for a program that has a $0.00 cost, you must always proceed to the check out link to
complete your registration. The last page will be a confirmation screen so that you know you have registered. Print out
this registration screen and bring it with you to the class. For other programs that require payment, payment must be
made in order to complete your registration. Always print out your receipt and bring it with you to your first class.
|
| 7. |
If I have made all the efforts I know, but I am still having trouble with online registration, who do I contact?
You should contact our IT Coordinator, Chris French at chrisf@ymca-arlington.org. He will be happy to research your
problem and get back to you. Be sure to include a very detailed account of what was happening to you during your
experience along with a daytime phone number or email address that he can contact you, and let you know what
happened!
