Express Classes
This are traditional classes compressed into 30 minutes to provide you with an intense and efficient workout experience, helping you to maximize your exercise time! Perfect for all levels.
Intro Classes
These 30-minute classes provide the beginning exerciser with an opportunity to try new formats in an accessible, instructional environment. Different formats will rotate every four weeks.

Ageless Wonders |
(C, N) |
A low-impact class that gives a great workout with no stress or strain on your joints. (Formally called Senior Aerobics)

Aqua Fitness |
(CS) |
A low-impact alternative to traditional land aerobics with all the intensity! Aerobic activity and strength building exercises are incorporated into each class for a total body workout. Swimming skills are not required.
 |
Aqua Lite |
(CS) |
A great class for active adults or beginning fitness levels, but is also a great workout for more advanced participants by making the movements larger and faster. Swimming skills are not required.
 |
Aqua Sport |
(CS) |
A total body workout incorporating athletic-style cardiovascular drills and overall toning with resistance equipment. Swimming skills are not required.

Boot Camp |
(CS, N) |
Be all you can be! This military-style format includes calisthenics, plyometrics, and cardio drills in one power-packed hour. May be taught indoors or outdoors depending on the weather.

Cardio Mix |
(C) |
This is a high-intensity aerobic workout incorporating timed intervals or step and muscle endurance training or circuit drills.
 |
Chair Yoga |
(N) |
Mind-body class utilizing the chair for seated yoga poses and to aid in standing poses. Wonderful for relaxation, self awareness and for improving flexibility.

Core Strength |
(CS, N) |
Strengthen, stabilize and train your torso. This 15-minutes class focuses on safe but creative abdominal and back exercises to tone your muscles and improve “core” function and posture. (Formally called Core Max, Crunch Time and Extreme Abs)

Extreme Circuit |
(CS) |
Break out of your fitness rut! This class “circuits” through a variety of formats and intensities designed to maximize your calorie-burning potential. Modifications are provided for all levels.
 |
Cycling |
(N, CS, C) |
Instructors offer continuous coaching in this stationary-cycle format with motivating and power-packed music. Intensity can be modified to accommodate all fitness levels. Passes to cycling classes are required and available at front desk 20 minutes prior to the class start time. Water bottles sweat towels, and gel seats or padded bike shorts are recommended.

Gentle Touch Aqua |
(CS) |
A water exercise that focuses on larger, slower movements that build muscles and improve posture and body alignment. This class is geared towards individuals with Multiple Sclerosis (MS), but is also appropriate for severe arthritis and other muscular/joint limitations.

H2O Power |
(CS) |
A high energy, low impact, powerful water workout utilizing every muscle group and every property of water. Class is taught at an intermediate level with modifications so everyone can participate.

Kickboxing |
(N) |
A high energy cardiovascular and total body workout that blends Karate and Boxing movements such as jabs, punches, and kicks.
 |
Kid Kombo |
(CS, N) |
A great way to involve the kids in fun and fitness. It’s packed with skills drills, cardio and balance moves. This class will challenge and encourage young participants to aspire to be their personal best. For children ages 5 to 12. (Formally called Y Kids Get Fit)

Muscle Fusion |
(CS) |
A novel assortment of strength accessories working in perfect harmony to challenge your strength, coordination, and stamina! This class fuses strength with cardio training to provide you with a comprehensive workout experience.

MS Aqua |
(CS) |
A water exercise that focuses on larger, slower movements that build muscles and improve posture and body alignment.
 |
Pilates/Pilates Mat |
(N, CS, C) |
A specialty exercise format based on the concepts developed by Joseph Pilates. Traditional Pilate’s exercise utilizes a mat and your body weight with occasional small apparatus to train the Powerhouse for greater strength and stability. A definite must for creating strength and balance throughout the body.

PiYo |
(CS, C) |
A combination of Yoga and mat Pilates to enhance strength while lengthening the muscles. Benefits can include improved posture, flexibility and physical awareness. Great for stress reduction. Appropriate for all fitness levels.

Pump H2O |
(CS) |
A fun water workout that really moves! We get your heart pumping for 30 to 40 minutes and end with strength training and stretching. All levels welcome.

Revved-Up Recess |
(C) |
Ring the bell it’s time for exercise made fun! It’s an after-work favorite with all the thrills of recess- obstacle course, jump roping, hula hoops, skills and drills. Don’t forget, its fun for all levels.

Senior Circuit |
(CS) |
A personal trainer supervises this small group as you workout with a very basic, personalized program in the weight room using the resistance equipment. You will not want to miss this opportunity to familiarize yourself with these machines under the direction of a certified trainer.

SilverSneakers® |
(N, CS) |
This class focuses on functional strength and range of movement through a multi-level conditioning exercise format geared toward the mature adult population. Available to all YMCA members.

SilverSneakers® II |
(N, CS) |
Senior Fitness program offered to Secure Horizons Medicare+Choice Plan members. This class is a non-impact cardiovascular conditioning class that includes resistance tool work and aerobic conditioning choreography.

Step |
(CS, C) |
Move it, move it, move it! This class provides 35 to 50 minutes of step choreography that can be modified to increase or decrease intensity, and may be followed by muscle strengthening exercises. This class will make you sweat! (Formally called Bench Blast)

Step Resistance |
(N, C) |
A great, quick way to get a full body workout. Step and strength segments are included and may be taught in an interval format, or consecutively. (Formally known as Step and Strength, Step and Tone ad Step Interval)

Street Beat |
(CS, C) |
No experience required! Learn the hottest Hip Hop and Salsa-influenced dance moves through the energy and music of the Street.

Tai Chi |
(C, N) |
A great mind, spirit and body experience that will increase balance, coordination and concentration with precisely controlled movements designed to flow one into the other.

Total Toning |
(N, CS, C) |
The perfect union of strength and endurance. Men and women will love this class. This fun and challenging strength class utilizes weighted barbells, dumbbells, handled tubing, and your own body weight to work all the major upper and lower muscle groups. All levels welcome (Formally called Muscle or Muscle Flex)

Turbo Kick Box |

This class comes complete with a sport specific warm-up, easy to follow combinations, kickboxing specific strength/endurance training, a brief “turbo” interval, followed by a cool-down. A great cardiovascular challenge appropriate for all fitness levels.

Yoga |
(N, CS, C) |
Flexibility, muscular endurance, and mental focus are enhanced through the use of breathing techniques and yoga postures. Several levels are offered as Yoga I, Yoga II, etc.

Yoga Stretch |
(CS) |
Our newest SilverSneakers® class concentrates on flexibility, balance, and mental focus through the use of yoga postures while both seated and standing.

Zumba |
(CS) |
The newest dance phenomenon! Tighten and tone your core with these hip rolling moves inspired by multi-national dance. Low impact, but powerful. Be prepared to sweat and love it! Also available for kids.
