Under the direction of the Executive Director, and with guidance from the Association Director of Finance and Association Director of H.R. and Staff Development, the Business Manager is responsible for the proper implementation of business and personnel policies and practices of the family centers. He/she acts jointly with the Executive Director in the development, monitoring and controlling of the budget and financial/accounting related functions.  This role serves as the H.R. specialist by assisting, counseling, and training family center staff in H.R. functions including the staff selection process, salary administration, review process, payroll and risk management. He/she acts as liaison between the Administrative offices and family center in communication and training in business and H.R. functional areas.

POSITION:              Director of Financial Development

Reports To:            President and CEO
Location:             YMCA Administration office.
Salary:                    40,000 – 52,000

Reporting directly to the President and CEO, the Director of Financial Development will be responsible for providing the overall leadership for our Annual Support Campaign including coaching of volunteers and family center staff, planning, training, and all aspects of the campaign. He/she will also be responsible for writing, reporting, and communicating all aspects of grants for the YMCA of Arlington.  This candidate will manage all grant functions to insure timely submission and compliance, and will work closely with family center staff to identify funding opportunities to enhance programs and services that meet the needs of the community.  As the YMCA of Arlington continues to grow and thrive, the Director of Financial Development will also provide leadership in the area of Capital Development and future YMCA growth in the Arlington and Mansfield service areas. Equally important, the right candidate will have the ability to organize and cultivate YMCA of Arlington long-time friends and supporters in the development of the organization’s endowment program. The Director of Financial Development will be a partner in the delivery of services by providing strategic planning for the organization’s capital development and fundraising efforts, and by embracing the YMCA of Arlington’s culture of excellence and continuous growth.

Summary/General Function: 

The Building & Maintenance Director directs the maintenance of the building, grounds, and equipment.  This staff member will be responsible for budgeting labor supplies, equipment, and related services/material required for cost efficient operations.  Must be able to provide a safe and clean environment for members, program participants and staff. Must have the willingness to project the YMCA representation by personal adherence to all policies and must exemplify the YMCA of Arlington values of Faith, Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility.  Must adhere to Risk Management and safety practices; be courteous and respectful to all staff and participants.

Under the supervision of the Teen Director and in accordance with the princles of the YMCA, the incumbent support and follow the YMCA mission, as well as model, reinforce, and develop the core character values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, Responsibility, and Faith.  All staff members are expected to represent the association building and promoting positive relationships with and between members, volunteers, staff and the communities we serve; embrace personal and professional growth and development; assist in the creation and maintenance of the highest professional and ethical standards; and understand and communicate to others the importance of focusing on our members.

Position Summary
The After School Counselor works off-site in Arlington and/ or Mansfield Elementary School and is responsible for supervision, safety and activities of children in assigned group while ensuring the safety of all children between the ages of 5 - 12. Job Summary:
The Custodian and Day Porter is responsible for maintaining excellent cleaning and safety throughout the facility, offices, gym areas, hallways, and ensures the building is clean daily as well as prepared for the next day.  Ensures all areas are safe and cleaned properly.  Performs functions related to maintenance to and the custodian department in accordance with policies, procedures, and standards of the YMCA of Arlington.  Work schedule varies day-to-day depending on facility matters; up to 10 – 25 hours weekly, must be flexible; able to work mornings, afternoon, evenings and weekends (including holidays).
