About
us
Our mission is
to put Christian principles into practice through programs
that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.
The first YMCA of Arlington opened its doors in temporary offices on October 1, 1958 after a $400,000 fundraising campaign led by then-Mayor Tom Vandergriff. During its 54 years, we have grown to three branches and is the city's largest provider of child care for school-age children.
